Please read this information carefully before using this application, hereinafter the "Application".
What is this application for?The Application is a high resolution tool intended to help physicians with the location of spastic muscles for infiltration, showing all relevant muscle patterns of upper and lower limb, and providing:
- Location of target muscles: detail of the spastic patterns with each of the muscles involved and the four different ways available to locate the target muscle for the infiltration of Botulinum toxin.
- Sonogram: sonography location and videos showing details of the sonography infiltration, including the sectional anatomy and description of each muscle.
- Location techniques intended to help specialists with the treatment of the spastic patient and maximize results with Botulinum toxin, contributing to developing and improving their expertise locating target muscles.
When you, as the User, make use of this Application, you expressly and unequivocally agree to fully comply with everything stated at this Legal Statement. In case that you do not agree with any or all of the conditions, the User is not entitled to use the Application, and in any case you can stop using it, and stop being user at any time simply by removing it from your device. In no case the exercise of this right will give the User any right to receive a refund of the amounts paid for this Application.
Use of the Application
The contents and features of the Application have been coordinated by Dr. Lluís Guirao Cano, PhD, MD specialist in rehabilitation, head of the rehabilitation service at Hospital de Sant Cugat, Barcelona (Spain).
The ownership and responsibility of the development of the Application belongs to Navandu Technologies (referred to as “Navandu”), firm specialized in the development and provision of technology and services for doctors, headquartered in Madrid (Spain).
The aim of the Application is to provide information to the specialist user, for his/her personal use, intending to be helpful in the clinical practice and decision making process. In any case the application can or should be used replacing the professional judgment of experts in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Neither the content nor the functionality offered by the application are intended to suggest or to conduct trials of diagnosis or treatment decisions for patients. This Application can never replace medical judgment, nor can neither avoid the need for individualized practice for each individual case.
The User takes full responsibility for the use of the Application. Those responsible for the contents of the application, and Navandu as the developer and owner of the Application, are not responsible for any claims or damages that may result from misuse or other purposes of the application that the User might do. The Application does not give any medication recommendations, nor of doctors, views, procedures or products that may be mentioned. The use of the information received and provided by the User is the sole responsibility of the user.
The Application has its base of operations in Spain, and all its content have been generated according to the medical practice in this country. The User takes full responsibility for the use of the contents in the Application.
The User has no right to copy or reuse any of the contents of the Application, and no right, under any circumstances, to reverse engineer or modify its source code. The User agrees not to undertake any action regarding the Application that may affect the normal use, or could damage the image, interests and rights of Navandu. It is forbidden to use any of the contents of the application, in any medium, in any form and in any country, unless expressly authorized in writing by Navandu.
The user assumes full responsibility for their own use of the Application, and recognizes that Navandu cannot exercise any control over this use. Consequently, the User agrees to indemnify and hold Navandu safe from any claims and associated costs that could be derived from its use of the Application.
Security
The application is developed with reasonable security criteria and following the best market practices. Nevertheless, the User is aware that it is not possible to fully protect computer systems. Navandu cannot fully ensure that the application is free of viruses or potentially harmful elements for user devices.
Sources for the information and authors
Dr. Lluís Guirao, head of the rehabilitation service at Hospital de Sant Cugat, Barcelona, with the collaboration of Dr. B. Samitier, specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Hospital de Sant Cugat.
Ultrasound images and videos shown in the Application have been obtained and provided by Dr. Lluís Guirao and/or Dr. Beatriz Samitier.
Images of body muscles shown in the Application have been provided by Dr. A. Carrera and Prof. F. Reina, professors of the department of medical sciences at the University of Girona.
Navandu is responsible for the development and operations of the Application, and has been conducted by M. Bermudez, computer engineer, expert in development and programming of native mobile applications for iOS operating system.
Diagrams and sections of muscles and probe position shown in the Application are owned by Navandu, and have been developed by E. Carrera, an expert in digital design and 3D modelling.
